2020 Achievements

NCAA members, your legislative efforts have made an incredible impact for North Carolinian Audiologists for decades to come! Due to the direct efforts of NCAA lobbyist, Tony Solari, Governor Cooper has signed House 1053 - "PED/OL & Audiology Interstate Compact." This exciting compact includes NC in a growing number of states who will recognize the license and practice privileges of an Audiologist in neighboring states.

Need further evidence of the reach and impact of your membership?

In April, NCAA was critical in the passing of Executive Order 116, which enacted temporary rules relating to audiology assistants. The order carefully outlined the authorized tasks of an audiology assistant, including the supervised provision of telehealth services. NCAA will continue to work with lawmakers to make this temporary order a permanent one.
